These photographs was taken at a recent Bilal show in Los Angeles at the Grand Performances summer concert series. Bilal graced the stage with Miguel Atwood Ferguson, Chris “Daddy” Dave and many other very talented musicians. Bilal took a break from his European tour to give New York and Los Angeles two free shows July 22nd and July 23rd before heading back to Europe. Bilal’s Airtight’s Revenge is stated for release September 14, 2010. Hit me if you need any more information. – Fred Shavies.

I was just thinking to myself about how photography changed my life, and when I say that I mean by being able to experiance mine and others incredible work each day I wake up. One Incredible artist who I admire alot goes by the name of Fred Shavies and his event photographer is something I want to master in the future. I’ve seen many event photographers, but I love the way fred captures the priceless moment of when music artist are truely in their zone. Im also really amazed by how well he uses his contrast and lighting. My favorite picture would be the last one because I like how Bilal has a slight dark shadow over his face.
